Councils & Committees

As an active member, the Chamber welcomes your participation on councils and special events committees. These opportunities include:

Ambassador’s Club:
Call on new Chamber members and welcome them to the organization. Participate in Grand Openings of new businesses. Help with membership drives and new member orientation.
Education Committee:
Forming a Speakers Bureau to go to local schools or businesses and make a presentation on your area of expertise. Internships, Co-ops, and job shadowing are being explored.
Government & Public Policy
Focus on local and state issues that can affect business and help the Chamber shape public policy.
Health & Wellness Committee:
Promote the health and wellness of members and their employees through education and initiatives. The committee plans an annual wellness expo in the fall.
Non-Profit Council:
Advocate for Montgomery County’s nonprofits and help nonprofits achieve a greater impact in community.
Small Business Council:
Promote growth, profitability and recognition of small businesses in the community. The group organizes educational programs and special events throughout the year focusing on the needs and interests of small businesses.
Special Events Committee:
Helps in preparing for Golf Outing, Awards Dinners, and Zoopendous (our annual business expo).
Women’s Resource Council
A committee formed for the purpose of addressing issues relevant to women in business.
Young Professional Suburban Network:
Focuses on networking and presentations relevant to the Young Professional.
